Overview
Partner.Net is an Add-On Component of the TallySales Management System for Corporate Entities who have built a network of Partners (Resellers, Franchisees, or Dealers). Partner.net provides an efficient means of retail management communications between the Corporate Office and its individual Partners.
At the Corporate level, Partner.Net provides detailed business information that can be viewed from the entire organizations perspective or narrowed down to an individual Partner store.
Individual Partners have all of the advantages of a fully functional Point-of-Sale and Back-office Management System. Partner's data remains secure and inaccessible by other partners in the organization, enabling the flexibility to sell not only the corporate products, but also the individual partners own products.
Activating Partner.Net
- From the Enterprise Tab of TallyExplorer, navigate to the Company Configuration tab.
- Select the Uses Preferences button.
- Update the Partner.Net value to Yes.
Select Save.
TallyExplorer will need to be closed and reopened prior to the Partner Management Tab becoming available. It is suggested to restart TallyExplorer only after all Employee Job Roles and Security Group Rights have been set.
Configuring Employee Job Roles
Once Partner.Net is activated, an employee can be assigned the Partner Management Job Role from the ‘Back Office’ Manager Job Role(s) section of the Employee’s Profile. By activating this Job Role, general access to the Partner.Net Management tab will be made available to the employee.
While the employee has general access to the Partner.net Management tab, specific functions and permissions need to be defined. For example, assigning a user the Partner Management job role will allow them to access Partner.Net information, but allowing or restricting their ability to make changes to partner information is defined through Group Rights Management.
- From the Human Resources Tab of TallyExplorer, Open the Employee to add the Partner.Net Job Role.
- Navigate to the Profile Tab.
- Check the Partner Management option within the Back Office’ Manager Job Role(s) section.
- Select Save.
- Select Exit.
Repeat the above process for all desired Employees.
TallyExplorer will need to be closed and reopened in order for all newly configured Job Roles to go into effect. It is suggested to restart TallyExplorer only after all Employee Job Roles and Security Group Rights have been set.
Defining Partner.Net Security Group Rights
Once Partner.Net is activated, a Partner Management Section will appear in Group Rights Management.
- From the Human Resources Tab of TallyExplorer, Select Group Rights.
- Select the Management Security Group that will be given Partner.Net security permissions.
- Navigate to the Partner Manager section of the Tree.
- Edit any Partner Management Security Rights
- The Partner Management Section gives a user permission to add/edit the individual Partners.
- The Partner Product section gives a user permission to add/edit products available to the Partner.
- Once all permissions are set, Select Save.
- Select Exit.
Repeat the above process for all desired security groups.
TallyExplorer will need to be closed and reopened in order for all newly configured security rights to go into effect. It is suggested to restart TallyExplorer only after all Employee Job Roles and Security Group Rights have been set.
