I have an answer regarding volume (item# 8). Volume is a [perm] parameter, so, unfortunately, it cannot be changed via the SET_PARM command. It can only be changed by either a manual process or a signed file. This param controls the overall volume on the device. It defaults to 50%. So, if the customer needs that changed, a Jira ticket would have to be raised to let us know what volume level they would prefer, and a file would have to be generated. I think you might want to play with this in the lab to see how changing the volume actually sounds. Here’s how you can manually change and test the volume:
I just played around with this here, and truthfully, it was very hard to hear the sounds if I set below 50%. And that was still quite soft. For me, the sweet spot was around 75%. 100% seemed too loud to me, but, then again, I am in an office with little ambient noise, and the terminal is less than a foot from my ears. So, at a customer location, the volume may need to be that loud in order to be heard.
